According to the Global Cycle Tourism Index (CTI), presented in Padua, Istria has been named the best cycle tourism region in Europe for 2025, scoring an impressive 71.12 points. In strong competition with leading European destinations, Istria has surpassed even world-famous regions such as the Balearic Islands.

The results are based on real user behaviour data from more than 50 million Komoot users, giving this recognition exceptional credibility and weight.

Istria has also confirmed its year-round dominance:

Summer: “King of Summer” title
Spring & Autumn: 2nd place in Europe
Winter: among the top 3 destinations in Europe

This clearly shows that Istria is no longer just a seasonal destination, but a year-round cycling hotspot at the very top of Europe.
