Starting in Rabac, the Queen of Istria is a serious road cycling challenge that takes you along the eastern coast of Istria and up to the summit of Učka. The 120 km route combines long climbs, fast descents and fully paved roads, with around 2,400 metres of elevation gain packed into one demanding day in the saddle.

One of the highlights is the spectacular coastal section between Plomin and Ičići, where the road winds above the Kvarner Bay and opens up some of the most impressive views in the region. From there, the route turns towards Učka, the highest and one of the best-known mountains in Istria, with the final climb taking you all the way towards the summit.

This is a route for experienced road cyclists who enjoy long days, serious elevation and the reward of a big climb. With the Adriatic beside you and Učka ahead, every section brings a different challenge – and another reason to keep pedalling.
