Starting in Poreč, the Trail of St. Lovreč Capitans heads into the Istrian countryside on a mix of forest trails, gravel roads and short paved sections. The 50 km route takes you through Ženodraga and Baderna before reaching St. Lovreč, one of Istria’s best-preserved medieval towns.

Take a break here to explore the historic centre and its well-preserved town walls before getting back on the bike. The return to Poreč brings a more dynamic section, with plenty of short climbs and descents through the rolling countryside south of the city. The final kilometres pass Stancija Bečić, home to a local XC course, before following a shaded forest trail towards Brulo and back into Poreč.

With around 500 metres of elevation gain and more than 40 kilometres of gravel, this is a great choice for MTB and gravel riders who want a varied ride combining off-road sections, Istrian history and plenty of changes in terrain.
