Rab is a true gem for mountain biking – once you experience it, you keep coming back. That’s why, for the fifth year in a row, it remains one of our essential early-season destinations. The Rab Island MTB Marathon, taking place on May 16, 2026, once again showcases the very best this island has to offer.

What you won’t find on Strava, in GPS tracks, or in any tourist brochure, you’ll experience here: Rab in its most authentic, raw and exciting form. As in previous years, route planning, trail marking and course design were entrusted to those who know the island best – our partners from BK Mag on Rab.

And what awaits the riders? A mix of diverse and demanding terrain: solid rocky ground, sandy sections, bare stone ridges, dense Mediterranean pine forests, technical singletracks and fast gravel stretches. Such incredible variety packed into such a small area makes Rab a unique MTB playground.

Mild climate, great accessibility and a network of thrilling single-trail routes elevate the experience even further. Riders will need adaptability and smart bike setup, but the reward is unforgettable panoramic views of the Velebit range, surrounding islands and the endlessly blue Adriatic Sea.
